About

A native Austinite and ceramicist in her youth, Julia reconnected with the medium in 2017 after a 14-year hiatus when her husband, Daniel, refurbished an old throwing wheel.

In 2020 we launched Bluebonnet Artworks.  We maintain our passion for ceramics with a deep respect for the vast and humbling ceramic process. 

​

In 2022, Daniel joined the business full time. With a background as a visual arts educator, and love for creating, he brings his own ideas and designs to our products.  

​

Inspired by our love of nature, the whimsy, unique forms, our work features various surface designs that highlight the clay and the colors used.
